Living in Place
As part of G.M. Roth’s commitment to improving the quality of life for ALL our clients, we have members of each of our Design, Sales, Production and Management teams with CAPS designations. Our founder Gerry Roth has had his CAPS designation for many years.
The Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation program teaches the technical, business management, and customer service skills essential to help homeowners stay in their homes as they enjoy their retirement years. This is a program run by the National Association of Home Builders that requires an applicant to take required training and pass a rigorous testing process before earning this designation.
The baby boom generation has many choices as this large population of potential clients for remodelers, builders, contractors, and occupational therapists considers where to live — but overwhelmingly, seniors would prefer to stay in their own homes. The CAPS designation gives us the tools we need to help them make the choices that will enable them stay to in their homes safely and securely.
In addition, the CAPS designation helps us make our clients’ homes more “visitable.” Even if the home-owners don’t think they need additional task lighting, grab bars, and other home modifications for their own use, their family members and visitors might. CAPS training enables us to help our clients make the right choices.
So If you are considering options on modifying your home to meet your, or your family members needs as they overcome the inevitable challenges we all face, be sure to get the right advice. This could involve creating an in-law suite that is set up for universal access, adding an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) to your property, or completely remodeling a whole home to provide access throughout the property. G.M. Roth has the training and experience in all of these areas to guide you through the design, permitting and construction process seamlessly.
