Breen Kitchen Remodel
We’re featuring some of our best kitchen work here this month, and the Breen Kitchen Remodel is one of the best. We’re honored to be able to show you this work, and we continue to work to make our customers ecstatic about the work we do every day.
We opened up the cramped kitchen space by removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room. The new design included a desirable and extremely spacious yet functional island with plenty of seating for four hungry boys. Removing the wall connected the space to the dining area, converting it from unused storage space to a space the whole family regularly uses together. By removing a closet, and part of the kitchen wall between the kitchen and the front door, we enabled direct access to the kitchen from the entry point, instead of having to go through the family room or dining room just to access the kitchen. Finally, we eliminated a closet that blocked the front door from the family room, and disrupted the flow of traffic up the main stairs.
We removed the tired pine cabinets with exposed hinges and replaced them with sumptuous traditional raised panel cherry full overlay cabinetry that went to the ceiling, completing the look with custom crown moldings. The base cabinets were capped with glorious maintenance free Cambria quartz. The elegant new double casement bump out window behind the sink rests firmly on the extended granite counter top. We handled a request for a brighter space by using recessed fixtures, under cabinet lighting hidden with a light rail, and three perfectly positioned pendants bringing a warm glow to the island.
New stainless steel appliances and a well-designed tile back splash all add to the ambience. Lastly, we completed the incomparable look with hardwood flooring flowing through the entire area. The 5” birch flooring complements the cherry cabinets and completes the look of this magnificent kitchen. Our clients now enjoy a fully functional living area with a kitchen that has the Wow factor that they love.
